More specifically, the pilot cargo on this Sea-Air transport solution is to transport retail and consumer goods from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Cairo, Egypt.

According to information from Maersk, the first phase of the transport journey was carried out on a Maersk ship from Colombo to Salalah. At Salalah port, goods are loaded and transported to Salalah Airport through a special zone customs route.

Upon arrival at Salalah Airport, the shipment went through security checks and was transported by priority airmail to Cairo, Egypt.
